Lots and lots of trash talk about ME not showing up at a certain house across the stateline. Wow. Wow. Wow. Infamous, indeed. Not only do I have pictures of the numerous times I've stopped at this certain house and no one has been there to greet me but I have witnesses, too, as I don't travel solo bearing my own gifts. I'm not the only one who has missed out on treasures. As for me not using a stick when I walk, how could anybody know that about me that doesn't know me? Or hasn't made an effort to get to know me? I expect to be stunned and offended each and every day in life but not at 10th and Mountain in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

As for the stick, that particular one has been troubling in a sense, as originally it was supposed to be for JBelle, but she has never shown up and I mentioned once on her blog that if she didn't this last time, it was to go to the Stick Lady, as she is called atound here. She is 9, and has been coming here since she was 5 or so. She left yesterday for good, as her and her family are moving. The stick is in good hands, she will have it forever. As for the infamous JBelle, I may begin work on a new one, maybe this time I may run in to her at the next blogfest, but I doubt it. For some reason, I don't think she uses a walking stick much, so I don't feel so bad.

I just threw four dozen cookies laced with expensive ingredients and lovingly concocted and baked in the kitchens at Bellemaison in the garbage. I attempted to deliver them on Friday, making yet another trip in friendship and solidarity. To no avail. And I completely understand. People aren't always at my beck and call and don't exist on my terms. But for the record, my real friends don't judge me, measure me to their standards and conduct performance reviews of me over the internet. And I am lucky, because although I haven't lived in Coeur d'Alene for many, many years, I still have many, many friends and dozens and dozens of stops to make in my old hometown.

So to you, all my old and real friends, cookies, vodka and visits for all! Thank you for being my real friends and thanks for ALL the memories.

I just posted something here a minute ago to see if it worked and it did, so that is why I am here again. I just read your comments and since I couldn't post an answer because I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, I went to Huckleberries in frustration and posted a small comment on the Saturday Wild Card. I didn't want to go there, but I felt the need to answer your rant in a sense and had no where else to go. I apologize for what transpired, but it was all very innocent and a ruse to bring you out. Obviously it did with the wrong consequences. Digger was here Saturday and I mentioned to him that a small comment about the stick might bring you out of hiding in a sense. There have been numerous attempts at having you drop by to no avail. I am not a store with certain hours and most afternoons I am sitting out where I should be and doing what I love. I just had 35 5th graders here this past Monday. I gave up trying to get you here in a sense and used Digger to plant the bait so to speak. I didn't expect what I read on your blog, but you don't know me and I don't know you, so I will leave it at that. We are surely not friends, as we have never met. Plus I haven't a clue if you walk or not, it was just something to say that might strike a nerve. It most assuredly did. I am sorry you threw the cookies away and for your numerous attempts at finding me here, maybe it was just not to be. I still have the stick, the stick lady finally moved and I decided to keep this special one in the hopes that some day our paths might eventually cross. I don't see that happening now especially after all the things you wrote. The 'infamous' word was just that. You have hardly ever been seen and after the blogfest with your car being there and you not, I thought the word fit rather nicely. If I hurt your feelings I apologize, as sometimes my sense of humor isn't exactly funny. Sometimes things we think are ingenious and clever are surely not, and in this case I guess I was wrong. I make lots of mistakes and feel bad afterwards for thinking the way I did, but like I said, it was purely innocent and I thought quite funny. Obviously not. I will continue to view you as 'infamous' and maybe, just maybe, we can change that word to something else with a chance meeting someday. My favorite saying is, "Oh well, such is life", and I guess it applies here. The Stickman

One more thing. I always thought the word infamous as being elusive and secretive. I just looked it up and it surely doesn't apply to you, so I guess I will apologize for that also. I am not doing so well today, but I at least wanted to say my peace. We have both ranted and raved a bit, let's leave it at that.

Since when are you the boss of me? This is my blog and I'll determine when "we'll" leave "what" at "that".

You crossed a big, long bridge with me, so big and so long I can't see you anymore. But I can hear you and I promise you this: you talk trash about me anywhere where I can find you and I'll follow up with a big stick of my own. My friends nor not even people I know treat me as you have. I did absolutely nothing to deserve it. I am not a victim or a person with too much time on my hands so know this: I do not and will not respond in a positive manner to any further abuse from you. And let me give you some advice: if you want a friend, you've got to be one.

Kim_Norm said...

I don't see any abuse. I apologized and told you how I felt. After reading your comments again both times, I will never bother you again. Promise.
