I wrote this one inspired by the syringa that was blooming in my garden. The syringa is blooming now at Bellemaison and I always feel that it is a special, secret gift to me so I remember. Syringa is the Idaho state flower and is everywhere in Idaho. There is absolutely nothing in this world like it or even similar. It is very special. Like the huckleberry. Come to think of it, that's one really special thing about me: I am from Idaho.

Face it, kiddo, you're just a consummate writer. Oh my god, I just had the most bizarre thought and it's a compliment to you: if I was to have someone pen my story (don't hold your breath) your telling would be one with which I'd feel very comfortable.

You garden goddess, you.

Oh, the Tale We Would Tell of The Psycho Therapist. And we option the rights and control the screenplay. hmmm. Which begs the question: who do we want to play Her Holiness in the film version?

I say Reese.

The pressure is on. The Blog Hostage Rescue Team is heavily negotiating with the hi-jacker. Will call in back up if necessary.

I too have a syringa planted close to my bedroom window. It takes me back to north Idaho and childhood. I remember thinking as a child that our state must be pretty special to have such a beautiful state flower... and then the mountain bluebird as a state bird. Two beauties! Of course we both know our northern Idaho is special.
