The Chows and I are still pretty much beside ourselves with this virus that renders us unable to post new pictures. We walked in the garden this morning and it was so nice to see that despite the cold weather, spring is here. The roses are putting out new growth, the daffodils and tulips are up, the forsythia, the alyssum, yellow, white and purple, and the forget me nots make the garden a wonderful place to be on a Saturday morning. The magnolia tree is starting to bloom. I have some new ideas for Joe Montana's mother's iris. My order from Edmunds' Roses in Tualatin, Oregon is in: Fragrant Cloud, of course, Moondance, Miss All American Beauty, Royal William AND Royal Amethyst. Sheila's Perfume, too. We're going to replace one of the fences that the early winter storm destroyed and create some new portals. We're also going to do some different things by the pet graveyard--gasp, take some roses out. So all this and more gives us much inspiration. And hope. Ya need yer hope.

You know, I am a computer expert (of sorts). I might be willing to work on your computer for a minor fee...say, dinner and a glass of wine in the garden? So long as I can let my boys romp around with the Chows without getting eaten by them

hey you. We have Spokane Computer. Now I have Cavalier Networks. If you come in, their self esteem will tank. :) Maybe we can arrange dinner anyway. The Chows and little boys. dunno. The Chows don't do little kids. Except for P33t. Even though he is the biggest.

I am sorry about the computer mess. I have no patience for anythink techie. It took months for the phone techies to help me go wireless. No Geek Squad on Lake Roosevelt. It was worth it. I hope yours is all back together soon. I love this view of your garden with the flowers, trees, and rocks. Beautiful.
Now if I get figure out how to rid my place of unwanted grass. I could probably win a Nobel Prize in horticulture if I could master that!

Computers, computers, computers...once you get the issues figured out, then it's time to upgrade. Then more issues. Hmmm. It all seems pre-meditated.

Nice shots. Happy Sunday!

And "thanks."

I love your garden jbelle. Spring has lasted this year for me as well. It's nice to be able to sleep with the windows open in May! The dogwoods and forsythia have been blooming for a long time. The daffidols are done now, but everything else is going strong.

hi Mel, My garden is such a thing my life. I stood at the kitchen window this morning in complete awe. I've built it and gazed upon it for 20 years and it still causes my soul to soar. Coming from an English girl, that's pretty high praise and ambrosia to my ears. Thanks, Mel.

Jules: I love your garden, too. You have done such lovely, lovely things with your new house and grounds. And the thing I LOVE about your garden is that if it will grow for you, it probably will grow for me. Love it.
