It was produced by women for women. I loved it but...I can see either one of your reactions, Randolph. what are your ideological reasons? can you get into them without a full litre of GG?
I voted for the first time in the Kellogg High School gymnasium in 1972. I was eighteen. Eighteen year olds had never voted in a pres. election before. I would become a long-time admirer of McGovern as I later became committed to my Silver Valley Democratic Party roots, but for some reason I don't now understand...probably the power of incumbency, I voted for Nixon in 1972. My voting record since: Carter Anderson Mondale Dukakis Clinton Clinton Gore Kerry
I don't think Shoshone County is the Democratic stronghold it once was now that the unions are gone. I may be wrong. But, I have become a steadfast Democrat. I broke ranks and voted for John Anderson in 1980 as a protest against the failed Iranian hostage rescue attempt. I'm surprised, looking back, what a strong negative impact that decision by Jimmy Carter had on me. I don't know if it still would today.
you guys voted for carter??? WOW! I'm making friends with history buff!!
jb3ll3: my ideological reasons prevent me from voting. With a healthy dose of GG (or equal amount of No10), i'll be a proper anarchist/utopist/hedonist and abandon all other ideologies.
as for my ideological reasons for not voting, let me try to explain. Keep in mind that i live in different part of the world and therefore a good 22 years of my life was spent under a singular role of one man with a joke for an election.
The 8 years after that involves hastily assembled banana democracy thru which democracy was reassembled from its dysfunctional imported spareparts, involving too many idiots, including one ubersmurfette, one blind man, one nerdy geek. None of these managed to go thru their mandated expiration period. Once you take democracy a step too far, then the people really get too trigger happy with this whole changing the rule/ruler business. By the time that we get a proper quasi election, we had 43 parties to choose for and i can't remember a single thing.
that's where the pale goose came to rescue.
Beside, didn't you hear, ideology is dead, even God is dying. We're all in for profit this year and Q3 looks bright.
November of '72. Made the trip up from Moscow, had dinner with the folks (it was Dad's birthday), and voted. Contrary to popular belief, I didn't vote a straight party ticket--I voted for Dr. Wood for coroner! I've never voted for a "loser" for president...I have always voted for Democrats! ;-)

1988. I had turned 18 the May before the election in November of that year. That was the only time I ever voted for a Bush. What a mistake.

Oh, and well said, Treespotter.
