Kennedy could make compromise and slow progress work, I suppose, because of his many years of service and the way he, like Ron Rankin it sounds like, maintained working relations with Senators like McCain and Hatch...opponents and friends...can a president also make compromise work and trust that a little progress now will lead to even more in the future? I like to think so, but so many who support(ed) President Obama see it as selling out...sorry to ramble...what do you think?raymond perthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07016246118115516015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13939465.post-52440340079075737382009-09-15T11:23:11.613-07:002009-09-15T11:23:11.613-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.raymond perthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07016246118115516015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13939465.post-48832524703067619552009-09-02T21:21:12.761-07:002009-09-02T21:21:12.761-07:00Teh Kennedy family is a perfect example of Nobless...Teh Kennedy family is a perfect example of Nobless Oblige.

I'm not sure what all your ranting about the Papacy is about and dissing on Protestant Christian Brethren, no one and no faith tradition has any monopoly on truth or faith as we live it and try and understand life and our God.

I didn't see the whole funeral, but his son's part in the eulogy was not to be missed. Had tears in my eyes for many hours after seeing and relecting on that:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_bbl5DkUQYgreen libertarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09827556247621633430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13939465.post-22121438192873047832009-08-29T20:24:51.189-07:002009-08-29T20:24:51.189-07:00You always seem to see the point of it all.
