Stumped.
Starbucks has collectible cards?

What's a Starbucks when there is Caribou?
Who buys coffee anyway, sheesh.

Too much money, I say, too damn much disposable income. Where's Green and his environmental grief when I need 'im?

Hello Schmeebsie the Younger.

HRH Princess Peedy. Lovely to see you, dear. I have been oppressed, sorely oppressed, in your absence. The suffering here is real and palpable; so, in fact, I think I better go to London, say the end of October. Wanna come?

I wondered about those stamps! But I knew anybody could corral that many quarters that fast had collection affliction, too....

Starbucks is freaking evil. Support your local fair trade coffee pusher, errr, vendor, if you must. Frankly, Americanos consume too much caffeine, make your cup or two at home for 10 cents a cup, and then get the monkey off your back for the rest of the day.

And never forget, Red bull gives you wings. Sucker.

This is a good blog, I nominate its author as a Huckleberries guest columnist...

Thanks, Anonymous! I am not much of a writer like some of those who blog over there at HBO. Read today that he's going to take a different direction for this week of vacation, anyway. :) It's all good, huh.

Curt, the cards are really quite interesting. Starbucks is essentially out of the business of selling coffee one cup at a time. Now they sell it by the $25 worth or whatever you load your card with; can you imagine the how cash flow spiked when the cards were introduced? Throw in different designs that are sure to become collectibles and bang, you're in a whole new segment of your business.

Yeah, I make it at home, too. With coffee I get at Costco. :)

I have a holiday starbucks gift card in the depths of my purse. Probably has about 24 cents left on it. If you ever drop by the s-r for a visit again, it's yours.

All of those prepaid cards are evil. Financial marketing gimmicks, almost as bad as derivitives.

Wasn't it so long ago that Starbucks was selling mugs? Was it different cities or different states? I simply can't recall - most likely because I don't even like Starbuck's Coffee. However, I will admit to simply loving their hot choco and scones. Whenever I get the opportunity to visit the local Barnes & Noble, I always find a good read, the Starbuck's hot choco and scone and spend the afternoon.

Unfortunately I don't get there as often as I would find pleasurable.

/looking under all the piles of accumulated memorabilia, quarters, cards and "touch-me" artwork

Where is she, damnit?
I hope I didn't throw her out with the rest of this trash.
