Autumn

When
"the landscape yields....We go to sleep with the peach in our hands and wake with the stone, but the stone is the pledge of summers to come..." Emily Dickinson

When
"cider light opens the deepening woods" Phillip Booth

When
the rains and the snow begin in the Pacific Northwest

When
"times in the morning early
when it rained and the long gray
buildings came forward from darkness
offering their windows for light " William Stafford

I just love the colors of Autumn. You did good! No cars! I am so into our Women's Blogger Lunch -- down the road when the snow is deep, and deeper, and deeper ... I need to get my hair done so my roots don't show! :-)

Where do you suppose the Christmas meeting of Fridays @ Huckleberries should take place?

The Christmas meeting for Friday @ Huckleberries? I will have to chew on that one for awhile.

I think you should consult with your brother since he is paying for it! ;-)

We could go Greek and do the Whitehouse in Post Falls? I will wear a toga with a ring of flowers on my head.

The 2nd, 9th, and 16th are the Fridays in December. There is the 23rd, however -- but that is really close.

Should we wear name stickers so we know who we are? I don't want to be the only one with a sticker.

You are the party planner -- !

Should we bring a huckleberry favor to exhange? Should we wear purple? Maybe DFO will spring for T-shirts by then? I need to know. I don't want to be the only one that shows up in a toga.

Do you think it will be warm enough outside so we could sit by that statue of the little boy relieving himself?

yeah, well, it will probably make me anxious, because everytime I see it, out of the corner of my eye or dead on, I'll think it's one of my boys, peeing freely in a parking lot in Post Falls, Idaho. Oh, they were cute little guys. *shaking head*
